LSCF 2021 Goals
Levy Longevity Series
We are excited about the new Levy Longevity Series, which launched in February with Amita Health. We will be hosting events monthly with special guests on topics pertaining to aging well. Tell your friends!
Donor Leaf Wall
We plan to construct a new Donor Leaf Wall with a “Tree of Life” theme and refreshed donor leaf design
Expanded Tech Assistance
We have expanded our volunteer tech support to include low vision help for computers and assistance with scheduling vaccines. Zoom help and simple tech troubleshooting are also still available!
We are getting close to our fundraising goal for the full renovation, but there is more to do! This year, we will:
Upgrade the audio/visual capabilities
Refresh window treatments, chairs and other touches
Hang the Walter Burt Adams paintings and two clocks
The LSCF loves the Levy Center Gardens! This year, we will:
Create a new vegetable garden with help from the Evanston Garden Club and the ETHS Service Club/Art Department
Maintain the north and south gardens
Work with the City on the Rothschild Garden
Upgrade the water/irrigation system
Install bird houses
Hosts a garden fundraiser
Levy Lecture Series
We will be raising funds to continue to expand our spectacular Levy Lecture lineup (both online and in-person)
We hope to re-launch Jamming Jean (LIVE!) this summer, Covid-19 vaccine plan permitting. Meanwhile, our goal is to host 3 concerts this year.
Fran Randall Concert Series
The Foundation hopes to fund 3 to 4 Fran Randall concerts in the coming year. The first virtual Fran Randall took place in January and we hope the next few will be live at the Levy Center.
In 2021, we will continue to work with our valued community partner organizations to provide our valued Levy Center members with engaging and educational opportunities outside of the Center such as:
Evanston History Center
Chamber of Commerce
Inspire Through Flowers
