Prerecorded Concert
CA frequent recipient of the question, "How high was that note!?", Lauren Shafer is a light coloratura soprano. Ms. Shafer received her Bachelor of Music at Illinois Wesleyan University studying under Professor Robert Mangialardi. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with her Masters under the tutelage of Professor James Doing, Ms. Shafer was honored with the opportunity to perform the national anthem at her commencement ceremony. Recent performances include featuring as a guest artist at the Champagne Gala for Prairie Fire Theatre in Bloomington, IL. Ms. Shafer was also a semi-finalist in the Harold Haugh Light Opera Competition in February 2020. Previous roles include Adele in Die Fledermaus and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel.
Sarah Williams holds a Master's in Collaborative Piano from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is particularly passionate about chamber music and accompanies a wide variety of soloists. A graduate of UW-Oshkosh, she received her bachelor's in piano performance, where she was the winner of the UW-Oshkosh Concerto Competition, the UW-Oshkosh Honors Competition, and UW-Oshkosh Celebration of Scholarship.
Besides performing as a soloist and working with duos, Sarah has accompanied a wide range of ensembles. Currently, she continues to work with soloists and ensembles within UW-Madison and throughout the community.

LSCF Fall Photo Challenge
Challenge Guidelines
We've made some changes! Please read our new rules to ensure your submission is included.
Entries must:

Be taken at the Levy Senior Center, on a Levy Senior Center outing,
or at a Levy Senior Center Foundation event. -
Include at least one older adult age 55+. Selfies welcome!

Be taken by a person 55+ in 2022.
Photo size and format:
• Send the highest resolution possible (at least 200k).
• Photos with low resolution, unreadable formats, or problems with photo links will not be included.
• In jpeg format.
• Include a written caption for each photo.
• Submit no more than 10 photos per person. Submissions can be at different times or all at once.
Deadline: December 6 at midnight. Winners will be notified by December 15th.
What to Enter?
We want to see you at the Levy Senior Center Center! — in classes, hanging out in the lobby, playing sports in the gym, enjoying the gardens, or attending an LSCF event like a Jamming Jean (12/2), Fran Randall (11/18) concert or Levy Lecture (11/29).
Or, submit some pics of your friends on LSC outings like the Lake Geneva boat tour, or Wicked in downtown Chicago. You can also share your favorite photos from earlier in the year that meet the criteria.
Prizes
Evanston restaurant and retail shop gift cards will be awarded to the top five entries, and additional recognition will be given to other outstanding work. The winning photos will be shared on our website.
Winner Selection
Levy Senior Center Foundation board members will be selecting their favorites from the submissions.
