Celebrating the Holidays at the Levy Senior Center

On December 13, the Levy Senior Center hosted its annual holiday party. This year, the Center celebrated with Cocoa, Cookies and Holiday Cheer! Guests took home cookie tins filled with their favorites and enjoyed festive performances by the Center's Shower Singers, Choraleers, and ukulele class. Home for the Holidays: Levy Center Closings

The Levy Senior Center will be closed for all classes and activities December 17 through December 21 for annual cleaning. The office will be open for business from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. only and lunch will continue to be served during this week. Tim Carter: New Levy Program Coordinator!

We’re pleased to welcome Tim Carter, the newest addition to the Levy Senior Center staff! Tim is the Center’s new program coordinator and is introducing several new programs this fall. Tim attended Illinois State University in Normal, IL and majored in Park and Recreation Administration. He has been working with adults and seniors for the past seven years as the senior program coordinator at two senior centers, the Rolling Meadows Senior Center and the Ela Township “55 Plus”

Fund a Senior Day Trip Scholarship

Senior Day Trips are a special occasion at the Levy Center. Day trips take groups to fantastic performances, on delicious food forays, and behind the scenes of local history. Day trips are designed with accessibility in mind. In 2016, the Foundation sponsored a new bus to alleviate the stress of transportation. Coco Chanel, in the form of Annette Baldwin, historical performance artist, came to visit the Levy Senior Center on March 13. Baldwin charmed the crowd as she captured the essence of Chanel’s business savvy, competitiveness, and superb fashion instincts.
